Application concept
Six-step commutation control, sometimes called trapezoidal control, is control technique that provides an electronic commutation to drive the BLDC motor, because this type of motors are not self-commutating. Typically, two of three motor phase windings are energized at any commutation sequence. Then the generated torque has a considerable torque ripple which occurs at each step of the six-step commutation .
