June is a busy month in the world of sensors.

To kick off the month, Computex Taipei will be held June 4 through 8.  There's a wide variety of sensors and all kinds of embedded technology and demos, especially in the Freescale booth (A0703, Hall 1).  If you are attending, you can stop by the booth and meet one of my Freescale coworkers, including Ben Tan, Wayne Chavez and Yonghui Yang.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet, is Sensor's Expo from June 4-6 in Rosemont, IL, which is where I'll be.  I will be presenting  Android as a Platform for Sensor Fusion Education and Evaluation at the "MEMS Sensor Fusion..." symposium from 2:30 to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 4.  On the same day, my Freescale colleague Kaivan Karimi is presenting Role of Sensors in Internet of Thingshttp://www.sensorsmag.com/sensors-expo/pre-conference-symposia/pre-conference-symposia-3-sensors-service-edge-internet-thin at the "Sensors as a Service..." pre-conference symposium from 9:45 - 10:15 AM. Be sure to visit the Freescale booth on the show floor (1009 on the 2nd level).  We'll have a number of demos to show you, and my friend Jim Carver of Avnet will be on hand to demonstrate the Avnet Wi-Go module.  I've been working with Jim on the enablement for Wi-Go, and can tell you it's a gem (no pun intended).

Finally, the 17th International Conference on Solid-State Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems (Transducers 2013) will be June 16-20 in Barcelona Spain.  Freescale's Aaron Geisberger will be presenting "A High Aspect Ratio MEMS Process with Surface Micromachined Polysilicon For High Accuracy Inertial Sensing" at the poster session.  A second poster by Freescale's Michael Normann will be on the topic "Reliability of Anchors at Surface Micromachined Devices in Shock Environment".  Poster presentation time is Monday 17 June from 2:15 to 4:30 PM.
